December Bloggers

Hello this month has been really busy. We are learning Away In A Manger and Walking In The Air for the carol service.
We were making fun wrapping paper and Christmas cards. Were also drawing and colouring myths and legends.
We also make a book of stories that we wrote Ourselves.
We learned about the Celts and we made mini-projects about them.It was really fun.
We learned about were music originally came from with our music teacher Catherine.

My Highlight of the Week!

Going to Tesco was really fun

Where does our Fruit come from?

This week we took a trip to our local Tesco. We wanted to see where the different fruits came from. The oranges came from Morocco, bananas were from Costa Rica and the blueberries came all the way from Uruguay. The only fruit from Ireland were the strawberries.

Green Schools

Our class has been busy learning about the Green school committee. Some people in our class were chosen to be on the school committee. Our class are in charge of water, electricity, recycling and the Golden Boot.The Golden Boot is for people in our school that walk almost everyday. We write down the class that has the most people walking and they get the Golden Boot.

Fabulous Fruit

We have been learning about healthy eating and a balanced diet.
We made fruit kebabs. If you want to make them at home this is what you do
Step 1. Cut the fruit.
Step 2. Get a skewer and put the fruit on it.
Step 3. If you want you can cover it with natural yogurt.
Step 4. Roll it in coconut shavings.
Step 5. Enjoy!









Christmas Shoe box Appeal

Welcome to our blog we have been busy doing our shoe boxes.
We put lovely things in all of the shoe boxes.
We watched the video of the poor children getting their shoe boxes from last year.

November is Here

Our Witches Chant

We made our own version of the Witches Chant by William Shakespeare.We had a lot of fun making up our own lines. We hope you enjoy it!!!!!

Magical Monet

We had lots of fun making Monet's bridges and water lilies.We put masking tape on the page in the shape of a bridge.Then we painted around the tape and when the paint dried we peeled the tape off.We also painted water lilies with lots of different colours.We hope you like the video!

Exciting Science

We are learning about magnets. We made compasses with magnets. First we filled a bowl with water. then we magnetised a needle and tested it with a paperclip. We cut a square shape from a sheet of cork. After that we put the cork in the water and put the needle on it. The needle pointed north. Have a look at our pictures to see the fun we had.










Our School Walk

We had our school walk on the 11th of October. We walked around the whole park! We went into the playground and we had great fun with our classmates. It was so much fun.

Ciarán Carr Foundation

Just a quick reminder about the fun run/walk for the Ciarán Carr Foundation taking place in Corkagh Park this weekend, Saturday the 19th.
Entry Fee is €25 and the proceeds go to raising money for defibrillators. The aim is to have one in every school in Clondalkin.

What's Been Happening

We’ve been in school for three weeks now and we’ve been really busy.
We harvested our onions, which were a huge success.
We also did a brilliant project on Dublin and learned that it’s a coastal county, Kenny Egan the boxer is from Dublin and that it’s the capital city of Ireland.
