Where does our Fruit come from?
This week we took a trip to our local Tesco. We wanted to see where the different fruits came from. The oranges came from Morocco, bananas were from Costa Rica and the blueberries came all the way from Uruguay. The only fruit from Ireland were the strawberries.
Have a look at this link to see the distance our fruit traveled.

Green Schools
Our class has been busy learning about the Green school committee. Some people in our class were chosen to be on the school committee. Our class are in charge of water, electricity, recycling and the Golden Boot. The Golden Boot is for people in our school that walk almost everyday. We write down the class that has the most people walking and they get the Golden Boot.

Fabulous Fruit
We have been learning about healthy eating and a balanced diet.
We made fruit kebabs. If you want to make them at home this is what you do
Step 1. Cut the fruit.
Step 2. Get a skewer and put the fruit on it.
Step 3. If you want you can cover it with natural yogurt.
Step 4. Roll it in coconut shavings.
Step 5. Enjoy!
